The U.V.J.C. is a junior livestock show designed for youth to exhibit their projects in a competitive environment. It's a one day show held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg, Oregon. The show typically attracts 80-100 head of steers and heifers from all over Oregon and Northern California. Steers are weighed and split into classes accordingly. Heifer classes are determined by breed and age. In 2015 sheep were added to the UVJC line-up and in the first year of the show had 55 head of lambs. Lambs are shown by weight classes.
We pride ourselves in paying out a minimum of 75% of entry fees with additional added monies. We also present champions with prizes ranging from belt buckles to clippers.
The 2022 show will be held on Saturday AND Sunday, April 23rd-24th.
